VISITS SINCE 15 OCTOBER 2007
Sunday, April 25, 2010

Helllooo AY2010/11 freshmen!

To all those who have signed up for the squash trials during the Recruitment Drive, you should be receiving a SMS latest by tonight informing you of your day for the trials - either Monday or Wednesday. To those who do not receive any message by Sunday midnight, just come down for the Monday session.

Just a reminder, the trials are on;

Day: Monday or Wednesday depending on your group. (You will be informed via SMS)
Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Attire: Sports attire & shoes
Things to bring: Water bottle, towel, extra shirt (optional but recommended)

If you do happen to have your own racket, do bring it along too.

Please note that we expect everyone to be punctual and fully ready by 6.30pm at the Squash Courts.

For those who don't know, after the trials, freshmen training will be on Monday AND Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm every week.

Should you still be unsure of anything, don't hesitate to contact any of the main committee on the right --> or myself, Prashant, at 93899211.

Thanks and see you all soon!

HELLO GUYS! On behalf of my teamates and I, just wanna give you all a HUUUUUGE welcome to TP Squash! Trials will be on Monday and Wednesdays, 630 to 830 and it will go on for a few weeks. We have a huge amount of people signing up during recruitment and for that we thank you so much for your support. However, we are sad to say that even though we'd love to have everyone join our wonderful team, we cannot fit 100+ people into 2 squash courts (we used to have 6 looong ago). Thus we have to set trials where only certain number of people can join.

Anyway i would like to take this oppurtunity to help you prepare for the upcoming trials. It is not going to be easy and for some of you, it will be very draining physically and mentally. Just wanna tell you guys not to worry cos we will be behind you, encouraging you and supporting you when you feel like giving up. I would also like to apologize in advance if anyone of us offends you in anyway because we are only human and might get very stressed out due to the high human traffic and expectation to make trials successful as this will be our last (many of us are third years). Therefore if we get impatient and snappy at you, please dont hold it against us as we just want the best for TP Squash.

Till then, we wish you all the very best for trials. Do your best and dont give up, also its better if you bring a water bottle along if you wanna avoid long queues for water cooler oh and also rest well and please have something in your stomach but do not eat 45 mins before training as you might feel uncomfortable during trials. See you at the courts.

p.s quite a number of us are having SIP cos (as mentioned above) most of us are third years so we will be a bit late therefore please dont feel sian if there isn't anybody to assist you, we'll try to help as much as we can (:

As i have stated in my SMS, attendance have been very very poor of late. I know most of the year 3s have started SIP but i would still appreciate any form of notification. And as Zahiri had mentioned in the previous post, 'if you do not put in the effort, you will be let down'.

Remember the days we traveled on private buses making our way to SP and then back to techno in cheers? And the trips to NUS giving our best shot at IVP and holding our breaths together when it was a deuce?

I know we are still capable of securing at least a silver for POL-ITE this year. If the graduates could do it last year, so can we. I hope the current situation is only temporary. Let's do this together, team.

Your new captain,
Morgan
